The Book That Changed My Life

The book that changed my life was the Bible because it was in the Bible that I found out about Jesus. I found out that I was a sinner. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23” I knew, even as a young child that I had sinned, done things wrong. I found out the payment for my sin was eternity in Hell. “For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23a” and “All liars shall have their part in the lake of fire which is the second death. Revelation 21:8b” That was all the bad news, but then I found in the Bible the solution to my problem. You see, God didn’t want me to have to go to Hell so He sent the most precious gift He had. “But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ out Lord. Romans 6:23b” and ” but God commendeth his love toward us that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8″ The Bible teaches us that God sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to earth for us. He came to earth and lived perfectly like only God could, and then he took every single sin I have ever committed, and every single sin you have committed and He died for those sins. He paid the payment for our sin that we owe. He gave us this gift if we will just accept it. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13” The Bible explains a few verses earlier that we just need to confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that God hath raised him from the dead. Trusting Christ is simply believing He died and rose again, and then praying and telling Him your sorry for the wrong you’ve done and asking Him to come in live in your Heart. The Bible says, if you’ll do that you will eternal (everlasting) life. Instead of spending eternity in Hell, you will spend it in Heaven with Jesus. I hope to see you there!!!
